Although each student still designs a very different looking character project, by following the detailed direction steps that I now provide, my students' projects have a similar shape and size to them. I have tested sending this whole project home (the directions, first draft, and final drafts) as a week long homework assignment, and my students were able to complete all of these steps on their own at home.
